The closing ceremony of the 42nd World Chess Olympiad took place at the National Gymnastic Arena in Baku with the organizational support of Ampola Exclusive Events. The program was attended by Azerbaijani dancers, popular Georgian musical group Kakhaberi and Xanums, as well as the folk song “Sary Gelin” in improvisation with mugam was performed from the stage in the beautiful performance of the deserved artist of Azerbaijan Sevda Alakbarzadeh. Awarding of the Olympiad took place on an improvised chessboard, the winners were awarded memorable prizes – elements of the Azerbaijani national dress of papakhi and kelaghai.
